Soundtrack to my life

I've got a few CDs on my "turntable" that I listen to on a regular basis. One of them is Emmylou Harris' Red Dirt Girl.

Sara Groves' Add to the Beauty.

A new favorite: Erin Bode.

Always, always, Fernando Ortega.

This Tracy Chapman album.

What are you listening to right now?

"red dirt girl" is a great album, although i've never heard an emmylou album i didn't like. i'm currently listening to genticorum (www.myspace.com/genticorum), they have been a constant in my cd player since they came and played in our little town this past fall....

I've heard several people say recently that they really like "Add to the Beauty", so last night after seeing it here I downloaded a few songs and am really enjoying listening to that today! Thanks for the recommendation!

I've also been listening to Aaron Copland's "Appalachian Spring" lots lately, Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong" (even though Christmas is past I'm still finding it ejoyable), and lots of Matt Redman (We're going to see him in concet in a few weeks!!!).

Wow - Fernando Ortega's website is sooo beautiful!
We listen to a wide variety of music. But, one of my new faves is Katy Bowser, you can find her at katybowser.com.

I'm with you...always, always Fernando. It's on while we do school, while I cook, after the kids go to bed....so peaceful.
And Add to the Beauty is my favorite Sara Groves cd - I love the song, "You Are the Sun". It is so lyrical, and inspiring.

Ooooh, one of my favorite topics!!
I recently discovered Jolie Holland and love her! So I am listening to Jolie Holland, Cornbread Red (who does some amazing bluegrass covers of some great songs by a Canadian band I like), Johnny Cash, and Sheryl Crow.

I love haunting melodies and rich, even raspy voices. I think that is why I like Emmylou Harris as well.

I also love Fernando Ortega. I will have to make myself a cd of his!

Hey Andrea...

I have never listened to Emmy Lou Harris...I will check it out. I read on Kendra's blog that you are doing Believing God...I just started doing that from England via the Lifeway website online. I love it.

Have a good one!
