Sweet poem

My oldest daughter wrote this for her father last week. I thought it was so good I wanted to "publish" it. She gives her permission.

The day is full of stress and frustrating things and at some stuff you just want to cry,
but all you can do in a days work is try
There are some good things and some bad,
even funny and sad
But at the end of the day you come home to your loving family to stay,
for it is the best start to end the day

My husband always says it is "coming home" that makes the day complete and satisfying. Though he likes his work, he always wishes he could spend more time with us.

I bet this poem choked your husband up when he read it?

Oh, and I LOVE your new pic. So nice to see your face. :)

That is so awesome. She rules! I bet Mr. Flourishing Dad was in tears!! What a sweet family that he is so blessed to come home to. Daughters that adore him and his little man that looks up to him. Priceless.

Oh, my.

I think you must be a wonderful example to your daughters - you are raising future helpmeets whom their husbands will simply ADORE!

What a sweetheart.

L.L.~thanks! Yes, I was wondering if anyone would notice I had a new pic up!
My husband did not cry, but he's read it many times. It was beside his bed for awhile. *smiles*

always the encourager you are. love you.

what kind words! i sure hope I am an example, because I don't think I "preach" it enough.
I do have to say my husband is easy to adore. He is quite simply the best. *grin*

Oh my goodness Andrea, I love your pic too. You look so incredibly cool and free.

I love the album you mentioned below, esp. the Alison Krauss song on it. baby squirming in my lap. gotta go. Loved your daughter's poem...she said it in the last line.
