Wordless Wednesday: Spring Snow

A few days last week, we had instances of quick snow flurries throughout the day. The girls would rush out in their bare feet and dance around in the "Spring Snow" every time it happened. It was also very windy! You can hardly see the snow in the pictures.

More WW, go here.

I heard on the news we had some flurries, but never actually saw any snow. Too bad we had to wait until Spring.:(

Spring snow is fun because it melts so quickly! We are expecting a big storm this weekend, maybe our last?

Cute pictures! You girls look so happy!

Oh - sweet happy girls in their skirts! I love late snows - fires in the fireplace, more opportunities for hearty soups... thanks for sharing this peek!

Oh spring snow is so pretty, big fat flakes that don't stick around very long. The girls are so cute - embracing life and having fun. That's what it's all about. *smile*

Your eldest in the first photo seems especially adept at doing the snow dance. Very cute.

Fabulous pictures--such joy!

Perhaps we should all take inspiration from that childlike sense of wonder and let loose from time to time?

Wonderful pictures! They look so free and happy. We had the same weather pattern this week- cold and windy with many scattered snow showers.

Your deck and backyard look a lot like one we used to have when we lived in Virginia.

I love the splayed fingers and clenched fists of jubilation! I have some joyous music playing on my computer as I see these pictures, and so they look so totally worshipful. I also love that you let your girls run out in the chill for a bit with bare feet. :)

Thanks all!

Miriram-Yes, I'm glad you noticed the clenched fists in the second picture, I thought it looked so sweet.
As for bare feet, I'm still a southern girl at heart and pass that on to my children regardless the weather! My husband still teases me that I don't know how to dress for winter (or my children!)

These pictures really capture the joy of childhood-the ability to delight in the simplest unexpected treasures!
