Little girls

What are little girls made of, made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and all that's nice;
And that's what little girls are made of.

Freckles on skin,
And beauty within.
That's what my little girls are made of.

Hugs and caresses,
And ironing their dresses.

Sweet, sunny, smiles,
And charming little wiles.

Drawings of Jesus,
And always wanting to please us.

Playin' "Tacy and Tib",
"Little House" , Babies and bibs.

Stories and cuddles,
Splashing in puddles....

That's what my little girls are made of!

Sweet photos! Sweet thoughts! Don't you love the kerchiefs? I used to love those as a little girl and now my daughters do as well. Blessings!

What a lovely photo, and words to match. It would be cute all put together and framed for their room(s).

Oh, how beautiful, Andrea... the girls, the picture, and your reflections. *And* your mothering! The work of your hands is good.

what sweet little dresses and matching hair pieces! Did you make them? The love between sisters is simply the best, I'm so glad I have two girls so close in age.

I was wondering if you made the dresses & kerchiefs, too...?

Beautiful! I don't have girls so it is fun to see "how the other half lives!"

Wow!
What a response!
I think it's the best picture of my little girls that I have.
I just love the sweetness of little girls.

As for the dresses: no, I did not make them, but I sure wish I did!
They were a gift from Grandma. :)

Hi Andrea---

Given your recent post about little girls, I wanted to pass on the link to an upcoming film. It takes place in New York and is called BELLA. You may well have heard of it already. But in case you haven't, the link is www.bellathemovie.com. It looks like an incredible film. It just won at the Toronto Film Festival and is pretty grassroots. They are looking for people to promote it.

Blessings to you in your corner of the world--

Kelley (mamamonk)

I love your poem. I run a mother-daughter discipleship group (3 actually) and would love to use your poem in our monthly newsletter. Can you give permission?
