A break

Oh, this picture is so *me* right now.
For some reason, I'm in a funk...feel stressed and busy.
I want to hide under a shawl and read a good book in my bed all weekend.
If you saw my face, it would look like this young woman's expression. That is, her expression shows how I feel.
For that reason, I'm stepping away from the blog for a week or so...it's about time for a break.
See you all when I'm back!

(I do not know the artist or this picture's name. If you do, let me know. I usually want to give credit, but in this case I do not know the artist's name or name of the picture.)

Good on ya! We can all use a break. When blogging takes my energy instead of being a refresher I have to back off....because for me I need to be putting that energy else where. Hope you are refreshed this week.

Have a refreshing time! See you when you return.

The artist is John William Waterhouse - the painting is called Boreas.

Enjoy your break.

I understand the feeling--but I think I look a bit uglier when I'm stressed!!! :)

I love Waterhouse's paintings.

You go girl....away into the quiet and get refreshed. I am cyber-sending emergency hugs, some good coffee (or herbal tea, if you prefer), some great guitar music and a nice rainstorm to fall on a day when you don't have to go anywhere. Please wrap up in your shawl and enjoy the quiet. :)

((Andrea))

See you after you are rested.

Ah, I was coming to tell you that it's a Waterhouse, but others have already passed that along.

I love Waterhouse- so utterly feminine. Another great painter (but you gotta watch out for the nudie ones) ;0 is Mucha... very graphic like 20's theater posters, but very beautiful! I love finding paintings that just "feel" like how I'm feeling.

Andrea, I prayed for you! Thanks for this beautiful Waterhouse. I'd love to hear about your schedule and running around if it ever suits you. I'm not in that stage yet, but want to keep a strong home life. Mary Brooke

I hear you on "funks". Sometimes I find someone to watch the boy and just escape to somewhere unfamiliar and quiet - a cup of coffee, the Word, my planner and journal. I usually come home refreshed and with a fresh outlook and desire to serve my Lord and family.

I'll be praying for you this week.

I just had a break this past weekend, and I realized how desperately I needed one. I have issues with always feeling guilty about leaving my "turf" and children, but this time God gave me such a peace about coming with Him to get what I need... Remember that God wants rest for you! I pray that God orchestrates just what you need and that you will return strengthened and rested!

Enjoy your break, Andrea! Everyone could use one now and again. I think it's great that you have the wisdom to know when it's time to take a breather.

I hope you get refreshed. Sometimes taking a day or so of simply hiding in bed under a shawl with a good book is a good thing. However, wallowing never feels as good to me as I think it should.

I "know you" well enough to know that you won't be doing that.
