Wonderings....

"They" say Motherhood is universal, and I know these ponderings are not general to all over the world, but there's probably some truth to all these "wonderings" of mine:

~Like, do you let your baby play with the toilet bowl brush while you shower? So you can shower in peace?

~Do you ever feel like the day is a nonending orchestra of fix the food, eat the food, clean up the food? ~smile~

~In a family of 6, the laundry piles up quickly. Do you ever feel like it's gather laundry, sort laundry, wash laundry, dry laundry, put up laundry, then it's time to do it again?

cartoon from www.weblogcartoons.com

~Do we every stop worrying?

~....do we every stop praying?

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm not the only one who thinks these things. We are ALL in this together..and what a blessing it is to know that!!

Cute laundry cartoon!! You're right. We are all in this together. I can totally relate to what you've written.

Wow. Who owns that many clothes? (I'm kind of picturing a different danger... like a family in clothes so crusty that they look stiffly starched!)

i agree! however, i can't say i have let the baby play with the toliet brush (however, mine is probably quite clean due to infrequent use!!) my 20 month old enjoys mommy's makeup and lotion during showertime- which means i can keep her away from newborn baby brother. however, i am so thankful for the chaos at my sweet little home!

A big 'amen' to all of that, and we are only a family of four :) And I can definitely relate to the never ending orchestra of fixing food, especially since both of mine are still too little to really be of any real help in that area. But you're right, we're all in this together, and thank God for the encouragement we can draw from each other :)

Do you have gates on all three doors in the hallway except for the baby's room so that she won't get under the sink or in mama's bathroom or in the legos in the boys room?

Do you climb over them a thousand times a day and pray that your are toning your hips and thighs as you do so? :)

You made me smile tonight, at the end of such a day - stomach flu in little ones, lots of extra laundry...

Love you!

Oh, do you I hear ya on the food prep/clean-up and laundry. I was just marveling to my husband today about how quickly the dirty clothes pile up. They really seem to take on a life of their own at times. I love that cartoon...

I think that mamas should declare war on entropy (things are constantly moving from a state of order to disorder). :) Then again, I suppose it wouldn't do to declare war on one of God's natural laws.

I wonder... do you ever get so busy with those kitchen duties that you forget to eat?

You forgot "iron the laundry" that's the stage where mine always gets stuck!
Oh, and my kids don't play with the toilet scrubber, they just watch TV. Yep, I'm a rotten Mama allowing their brains to mush so.

Have you been spying in my laundry room?

(And there are only 4 of us!)

Also...the toilet brush!! I never thought of that one!

You are not alone! It's also a blessing to be able to "visit" like we do through blogging, getting to know eachother while being encouraged. God is so good! :>

My laundry is currently backlogged. Guess what I'm going to spend today doing...
and YES to the food preparation. Good thing I enjoy it!
