Spring things

This week we will be doing various "spring things" everyday. Here in the Northeast where I am, Spring has finally begun, and we are trying to be outside everyday to enjoy the sunshine, warm weather, and "new beginnings."
Today we made "Assorted Hors D'Oeuvers" from the delightful cookbook
Mud Pies and Other Recipes: A Cookbook for Dolls.
First, you must absolutely don your vintage apron:

Check.

Glue 8 or so cupcake liners to a rectangular piece of cardboard...

Fill with (as the book suggests)
~grass
~clover
~pine needles
~small berries
~flower petals
~crushed dry leaves
~minced twigs
~gravel

Enjoy...and serve to dollies or "stuffies"

Oh, that is so cute! The Boy loves mixing up mud, seeds, pine cones, and sweet gum balls and inviting his neighbor friend for a "feast."

This is a diminutive version of that, in those sweet cupcake holders.

Love the vintage apron! I'm glad that spring has finally sprung up there. It's my favorite season even though seasons tend to run together down here.

It looked so go on your blog. But 15 fire ant bites can put a quick end to this activity. Let me tell you. Poor Little Bit. She said, "I don't want to do that ever again!"
