Schaeffer/Macauley book giveaway!!

The Homeschooling Conference was great. Of course I didn't go to bed until 3 a.m., but I survived. And got lost on really bad New Jersey highways. But I made it through!!

I picked up Susan Schaeffer Macauley's book For the Children's Sake  and Edith Schaeffer's book The Hidden Art of Homemaking at the used curriculum sale while I was there. Both of which I have mentioned many times on this blog. I already own them, but I thought Hey! I can give them away on my blog!

So, I am giving away both of the books together. They are used, but in very new condition. Leave a comment on this post, and I will draw a name this Friday.

I feel greedy even entering your giveaway, since you have already been so generous to send me a book, but...I do want to read these very very much...thank you for your generosity again, to whoever wins.

I have For the Children's Sake and I love it... but I don't have the homemaking book and would really like to read it! Count me in, and if I win, I'll share the former book with a dear friend!

I have reading your blog for a few months now but I have never commented. I have really enjoyed it. We have started to have yogurt and granola with fruit for breakfast and my kids love it.;D I am also trying to make some changes in our Sabbath. So, whether I win the books or not, thank you. I enjoy your point of view.

Thank you for the great and much needed message of kind speech. I think back when I was a child, those adults in our neighborhood as well as relatives who were grumpy, short tempered and those who were sweet & kind. Sweet kind words like honey, sweetie, pumpkin, love, were some that I remember the kind people using. I am daily reminded of Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
I have a dollar store magnetic mirror on the refrigerator so I can be sure I am displaying the kind sweet face I want my children to see during the day. When I see my grumpy face and change it in the mirror to a smile, the Lord helps my heart follow. I also was told that excess salt makes one irritable. Hmmm! Something to consider! Much prayer works best!
I will be posting Sue Kemmerer's list next to my mirror on the fridge!
Bless you for offering these great books. And bless you for offering this blog to encourage others to live a life pleasing to God.

I haven't listed my name because I'm not sure if this is okay... my daughter, Michelle, would love to have these books, but she has no computer, so she can't put her name into the draw. Is it okay to sign up for her? If not, just take me out of the mix! :-)

This was such a thoughtful thing for you to do. These are two of my favorite books for sure. Susan's book is my all-time favorite homeschooling book, and I consider Edith to be one of my biggest mentors.
