Weekend reads

A Christian Mother's Version of Perfect Madness I allude to a lot of this on my blog. This blogger said it perfectly and more outright. My prayer is that we would all listen to God for ourselves and our family. Stepping out of expectations or legalism and into His freedom.

How Elizabeth avoids burn out. One way: listen to our husbands!!!

These two posts probably go together.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you for your kind words about my post on the "Perfect Madness" and for linking. I look forward to exploring your blog more in days to come.

Those were great reads Andrea! We all need to be reminded of these things and not get caught up in the opinions or expectations of anyone but HIM!

Andrea - I wanted to thank you for being brave enough to tackle this issue. Honestly...I'm in the midst of raising five kids. Whatever I can do to get through is what I'm going to do (as long as its not harmful of course.) I would love to be that woman, the one who does all those things and somehow still looks so put together and color coordinated and so is her blog, and her kids, and so on and so on. The reality is...I'm just not. And I don't think I ever will be. But I'll be the best me I can be. Thanks for reminding me. Love your blog. Hope you're feeling ok.

Wow, just got to those links. Great, great thoughts to chew on...I am a perfectionist (recovering...forever) and still am not comfortable giving up all of those ideals. A couple, maybe, but not all...
