Andrea, I've been trying to figure out how to make the prints for the ornaments as beautiful as possible. (I think the prints are beautiful, just wondered what I'd do with them.) I really like yours. Is it raffia? It doesn't look like a loop. How will they hang? If you have a moment, I'd so appreciate details.
andrea, yes, we anticipate and celebrate His coming and He is in the midst of all our mess! we're blessed by ann's jesse tree words, as well.
and if i may give my own answer to elizabeth's question? i put together the symbols a couple of years ago and they're still holding up well. i bought a pad of paper at a craft store (with a 40% off coupon, of course) that was one of those matte stacks and each sheet was different, jewel colors, handmade-looking, some glittered, matted the symbols, laminated them, cut with pinking shears, and tied with raffia. i'm sure they'd be prettier without the laminating but it's kept them from curling...they're nice and sturdy. (thank you so much for all of your advent celebration recommendations, by the way, elizabeth!)
Beautiful pictures of your lived in home. Love it! And we've started our tree but have yet to print out Ann's devotions. I think we'll do some combination of the ones we have and hers. I love how you made the book with a binder- much more sturdy! ;)

We are preparing the same way.
Thank you for reminding me that everything does not have to be 'perfect' to get ready, to celebrate.
